VentureFounders took part in a total £5.9 million fundraise for Hopster over two financing rounds alongside angel; institutional investors including Sandbox & Co, London Business Angels and the Angel CoFund; and strategic investor Sony Pictures Television. The latest £4.8m round was closed in June 2017.

Hopster is a subscription based app that is re-inventing pre-school TV channels to create an interactive, learning experience for tablets, smartphones and connected TVs. Launched in December 2013 by Nick Walters (formerly at Viacom and Nickelodeon), Hopster combines educational and entertainment content for children between the aged 2-6 years old.

The platform offers over 3,500 episodes of premium TV shows and educational games that adapt to children’s educational development in a safe, ad free environment. Hopster is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play store, and also on Apple TV.
