City Pantry is an online catering service that streamlines the delivery of large orders for businesses who recognise the value in facilitating staff and clients to eat together regularly.
The platform aggregates over 250 London caterers and restaurants, delivering food for meetings, events and team meals to over 500 companies on a regular basis.
Capitalising on the recent disruption in food delivery, City Pantry specifically targets the B2B market estimated to be worth £6bn in the UK. The B2B market is attractive given businesses demonstrate more regular ordering patterns (6 times per month), higher order values (c.£300) and longer lead times (average is 11 days) than individual consumers.
City Pantry caters to an average of 35 people at one time and clients include Facebook, Google, Airbnb and Deloitte. Food is supplied from a combination of high street brands and traditional caterers, who benefit from incremental revenue via large, regular orders with considerable advance notice.
Led by CEO and founder Stuart Sunderland and an experienced management team with collective experience at Gousto, HelloFresh, Google and McKinsey, the company has experienced strong 100% annual growth with a gross merchandise value run rate of £6.2M.
Featured in UK Tech News, The Retail Times and The Evening Standard it has received £1.7m of investment to date from a supportive investor base including True Capital, the Angel Co-Fund and the London Co-Investment Fund.
